About Pass the Imposter

Pass the Imposter is a free, no-download imposter party game for 3 to 20 players on one shared phone, with 56 word packs, custom packs, offline play, and three ways to play: Classic, Undercover, and Mr. White.

Pass the Imposter is a social-deduction word game in the “Who is the Spy?” / word imposter family. It is built for in-person play: one group, one device, no internet required after the first load. We made it because the best party games should be free, instant, and impossible to ruin with a sneaky peek at someone else’s screen.

Why we built it this way

• It is all free. Every one of the 56 packs and all three modes are yours from the start. No paywall, no add-ons, nothing to unlock.
• You really cannot peek. You hold the screen to see your word and it disappears the moment you let go, so the next person gets nothing.
• It works with no signal. Save it to your home screen and it plays offline, wherever you end up.
• Your stuff stays yours. No accounts, no database. The names and words you type never leave your phone.
